COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - BYU junior Josh Rohatinsky and New Mexico senior Jacquelyne Gallegos have been selected as the Mountain West Conference men's and women's cross country athletes of the week, respectively.

Rohatinsky, a Provo, Utah, native, placed third at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn., last Saturday. He clocked a conference season-best time of 24:06, leading No. 5 BYU to the team title in the men's gold division which featured No. 1 Wisconsin, No. 10 Cal Poly, 13th-ranked Iowa, 15th-ranked Ohio State, No. 22 Michigan and No. 25 Minnesota.

Gallegos, from Pojoaque, N.M., crossed the finish line third overall (out of 227 runners) at the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., last Saturday. She completed the 6k course in a personal and MWC season-best 21:21, helping the Lobos to a 10th-place finish in the 32-team field which included 5th-ranked Stanford and No. 15 UC Santa Barbara among the field.
