COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State University sophomore Mike Nicks and senior Jennifer Kintzley have been selected as the Mountain West Conference men's and women's cross country athletes of the week, respectively.

Nicks recorded his first collegiate victory on September 6 at the Wyoming Open, finishing the 4-mile course in 21:42. The Colorado Springs, Colo. native led CSU to a convincing victory at the invite, as the Rams finished 34 points ahead of second place UC-Colorado Springs.

Kintzley who hails from LaPorte, Colo., finished first out of 63 runners at the Wyoming Open. She ran the four-kilometer course in 15:03, two seconds faster than Miranda Ernst of Northern Colorado, to pace the Rams to a first place finish.
