MWC Cross Country Athletes of the Week Air Force's Nick Wilson and Colorado State's Kirsten Anthony honored
Sept. 7, 2005 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Air Force senior Nick Wilson and Colorado State freshman Kirsten Anthony have been selected as the Mountain West Conference men's and women's cross country athletes of the week, respectively. Wilson, a Jacksonville., Fla., native, finished first out of 66 runners at the Wyoming Invitational last week in Laramie, leading the Falcons to a second place finish. He finished the 4.25 mile race in 22:12.34, as Air Force finished with four of its five runners in the top-10. Anthony, from Colorado Springs, Colo., finished second in her first collegiate race at the Wyoming Invite. She posted a time of 15:03.50 in the 2.5 mile race, leading Colorado State to the team victory.
