PROVO, Utah - The BYU men's and women's cross country teams will kick off their 2003 cross country season at the BYU Alumni Invitational meet Friday. This meet will be the first opportunity to see the current editions to our men and women's teams as they run against alumni and UVSC.

The night's events will begin at 8 p.m. with the women's 5K followed by the men's four mile at 8:30 p.m. Following the collegiate races, BYU will host children races and a traditional watermelon bust.

Runners to watch from the men's team are sophomores Bryan Lindsay, Nathan Robinson and Matt Adams. The women's team is returning three All-Americans, including Kassi Anderson, Michaela Manova and Breanne Sandberg.

The Alumni Invitational will be held at the BYU Intramural Fields, located west of the LaVell Edwards Stadium main parking lot. All BYU Cross Country Alumni are invited to participate by contacting the BYU Track Office at (801) 422-3830.
