CSU Announces 2005 Cross Country Schedule

The Rams will host the Mountain West Conference Championships on Oct. 28.

July 27, 2005

Fort Collins, Colo. - Head Coach Del Hessel has announced Colorado State's men's and women's cross country schedule for the 2005 season. The Rams will host the Mountain West Conference Championships on Oct. 28.

The Rams open their season at the annual Wyoming Invitational on Fri., Sept. 2. The Rams then travel to New Mexico, and Indiana twice before hosting the league championship. The NCAA Mountain Regional will be held in Provo this year and the NCAA Championships will once again be held in Terre Haute, Ind.

Last season, both the men's and women's teams advanced to the NCAA Championships.

The men's team, which finished the season ranked 24th overall, lost just two off the team that placed fourth at the Mountain West Conference Championship. They return a potent senior lineup in Matt Cianciulli, Josh Glaab and Paul Michel, not to mention juniors Nelson Palacios and Rob Watson. The women's team, which ended the year ranked 26th, lost quite a bit of star-power in Colleen Blair, Michelle Carman and Crystal Clark, but return two of the top three competitors in Danielle Korb and Nicole Feest.
