USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - With nine planned meets on the horizon, first-year Air Force cross country coach Juli Henner announced the program's schedule for the upcoming 2009 season. The Falcons will travel to six meets during the regular season, including the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational, en route to the annual conference, regional and national championship meets.

Air Force opens the 2009 campaign on Friday, Sept. 4, in Colorado Springs, where it will compete at the Rust Buster Invitational, hosted by the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. The Falcons remain in-state on Friday, Sept. 18, as they travel to Fort Collins for the annual Colorado State Classic.

The Falcons will face the nation's elite on Saturday, Sept. 26, when they travel to Minneapolis, Minn., for the Roy Griak Invitational.

The month of October begins on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the annual Rocky Mountain Shootout in Boulder. Air Force will travel to the Tiger Invitational (Fort Hays, Kan.) on Saturday, Oct. 10, while select members will compete at the annual Pre-Nationals Meet in Terre Haute, Ind., on Saturday, Oct. 17, to close out the regular season.

The championship season begins on Saturday, Oct. 31, with the Mountain West Conference Championships in Provo, Utah. The NCAA Mountain Region Championships will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Saturday, Nov. 14, and the top team and individuals from the regional meets advance to the NCAA Championships on Monday, Nov. 24, in Terre Haute, Ind.
