FORT WORTH, Texas - Flyin' Frogs head coach Darryl Anderson once again sat down with GoFrogs.com on Monday to give fans an inside look into how practice has gone during preseason workouts.

This is the fourth installment of Anderson's weekly look into preseason workouts. TCU will open the indoor season on Dec. 12 at the Texas A&M Invitational.

Breakdown
Our last couple of weeks of practice have been really good. We have had some testing and everyone was exceptional during that time. We put spikes on for the testing and I was really pleased with Clemore Henry, Dell Guy, Matthew Love, Jordan Pitts and Clint Renfro. They all have had a great fall up to this point. Now we just have to close this thing out and really keep moving in the right direction the next couple of weeks.

We go to College Station in a couple of weeks and it is going to be very competitive with us, Texas A&M, Baylor and Houston, which is going to be a great test to see where we are at. It is going to be an exciting way to end our fall training.

Our short sprint group has tested over 300 meters and was all under 34 seconds, which is pretty good. Overall, Mychal Dungey, Mark Barnes and Charles Silmon have really had a good fall. We feel good about where we are at with that group of guys. We have started to work on block mechanics and intensifying everything.

Jordan Pitts has really had a good fall overall. He was in the 600-meter group and really did an exceptional job with his time. He has really had a good fall with his hurdle training, which is nice to see.

Tommy Killen has had a really nice fall as well, while Cameron Tabor has the opportunity to really be something special for this program, which we're very excited about.

On the women's side in the hurdles, Larissa Matthews, Emily Hanna and Samantha Collins have all done some nice things. They are all starting to learn what we are looking for with our mechanics, which is good.

The women haven't had a lot of testing, but they are all growing and getting better daily. Kristal Juarez has really blossomed this fall and has been great in everything she has done. She has improved her start and running mechanics. We have thrown a lot at her and she has really done a nice job with it.

The young girls that are new to our program have really been working hard. I think Larissa Matthews has really taken to everything that we have given her. She needs to attack the hurdle at a higher rate of speed, but not very many freshmen are when they start training right away. I have been really pleased with all of their effort. It has been exceptional.

Whitney Gipson has been outstanding this fall in the jumps, while Neidra Covington has really been working in the weight room to get stronger. Both of them have done some good things this fall with their training.

The throwers have been exceptional as well. I am really excited about Kelsey Samuels. Her and Sara Talley have really got a lot of energy for freshman, which is good. Stormy Harrison has been outstanding this fall. Considering this is her first fall training, I think she has taken to it like a fish in the water, which is great.
