POCATELLO, Idaho - Former BYU sprinter Eric Johnson set the world record for 2002 in the 50-meter dash for over-40 runners. Johnson was clocked at 6.11 seconds, which is just .02 seconds off the all-time record.

He also competed in the 200m, high jump, long jump and javelin at the Wells Fargo Games in Pocatello, Idaho. During the summer, Johnson won 18 medals, including 10 gold medals. Johnson, who is preparing for the upcoming indoor track season, currently resides in Highland, Utah, and works as a recreational therapist.
