USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Head coach Ralph Lindeman announced that 29 newcomers will join the Air Force track and field program for the upcoming 2004-05 season. The Class of 2008 features athletes from 16 states and two countries, including five state champions and six state second-place finishers.

"The men's class features an outstanding group of track athletes, including sprinters, hurdlers, middle distance and distance runners," Lindeman said. "They will be looked at to replace the most outstanding graduating class of track athletes that we've ever had."

"The women's class is quite simply the most talented group of prospects that we've recruited in my 15 years here," Lindeman said. "Several of these athletes will make an immediate impact on our women's team success in the Mountain West Conference."
