SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah track and field teams had 14 of their student-athletes honored by the Mountain West Conference today, recognizing them with the Scholar-Athlete Award.

Honored were: Elise Greenwood-Bahr, So., 3.73, Music; Chelsea DiGrzia, Fr., 3.98, Undeclared; Jennie Haertel, So., 3.91, Exercise and Sport Science; Chelsie Harward, Fr., 3.60, Undeclared; Nicki Hugie, Jr., 3.88, Nursing; Jen Jackman, Sr., 3.52, Communication Disorders; Sarah McFee, 3.63, Meteorology; Sidni Taylor, So., 3.88, Business; Candice Workman, Sr., 3.54, Exercise and Sport Science; Dustin Cutrer, So., 3.55, Business; Robert Stark, So., 3.58, Undeclared; Romney Stevens, So., 3.57; Psychology; Vance Twitchell, So., 3.86, Civil Engineering; and Aaron Weispfenning, So., 3.93, Mining Engineering.

To be eligible, student-athletes must have completed at least two semesters or three quarters at the certifying institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have competed in at least one varsity contest in their respective sport.
