Salt Lake City - The Mountain West Conference honored four University of Utah track and field student-athletes by awarding them the league's 2005-06 Scholar Athlete Award.

Lauren Enderson led the entire field of University of Utah student-athletes recognized. The freshman recorded a perfect 4.0 in biology. Among the other 54 honorees were teammates Chelsea DiGrazia (So., exercise and sport science, 3.64), Nicole Hugie (Sr., nursing, 3.91) and Sarah McFee (So., meterology, 3.57).

A total of 535 student-athletes league-wide were named Mountain West Conference Scholar Athletes for 2005-06. To be eligible for selection student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition for their athletic team.
