Salt Lake City - Ten University of Utah Track and Field student-athletes were honored by the Mountain West Conference as they were named to the league's academic all-conference team on June 27, 2006.

Nicole Hugie led the way with a 3.91 grade-point average. The senior majors in nursing.

A total of 731 student-athletes league-wide were named to the team. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
