Former Frog Khadevis Robinson wins 800 meters at USATF Championships Robinson has won three straight US Championships in the 800 meters.
June 25, 2007 INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Former TCU track star Khadevis Robinson won the 800 meters at the 2007 AT&T USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday for his third straight title at the championships and fourth overall. A member of the TCU track and field team from 1995-98, Robinson posted a winning time of 1:44.37 in the 800 meters. His time was the second fastest in the world this season. Robinson held off runner-up Nick Symmonds, who had a time of 1:45.17. Finishing third was Southern California's Duane Solomon, who finished in a time of 1:45.69. The championships serves as a qualifier for the U.S. team for the World Championships, which take place in August in Osaka, Japan. The top three finishers in each event make the team if they meet a qualifying standard.
While at TCU, Robinson won the 1998 NCAA Outdoor 800 to cap his college career. Robinson was also a U.S. Olympian in Athens in 2004.
