18 MWC Athletes Earn All-American Honors At 2007 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships BYU's Niklas Arrhenius crowned national champion in men's discus throw.
June 12, 2007 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference had 18 student-athletes earn All-America honors at the 2007 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Sacramento, Calif., last week. BYU senior Niklas Arrhenius earned an individual national championship in the men's discus throw. Overall, there were seven men's All-Americans and 11 women All-America honorees. For the men, BYU led the way with four honorees, while Colorado State, New Mexico and TCU had one apiece. On the women's side, TCU had six All-Americans, while BYU had three honorees, and Colorado State and San Diego State had one each. 2007 Outdoor Track and Field All-Americans WOMEN *Individual national champion.
