Senior Janay DeLoach and junior Jason Schutz qualified for the finals in the women's long jump and men's discus throw, respectively, at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Wednesday in Sacramento, Calif. at the Alex G. Spanos Sports Complex.

DeLoach placed sixth with a season-best leap of 21-2.0 to advance to the finals which will be held tomorrow. Schutz posted a personal-best throw of 193-02 in the discus throw to advance to Friday's finals.

Senior Rob Watson narrowly missed qualifying for the finals in the Steeplechase. Watson clocked-in with a time of 8:42.75 to finish in 15th place. The top-14 runners advance to the finals.

Senior Nicole Feest did not compete on Wednesday. She will begin competition in the 10,000 meter run on Thursday.
