SAN DIEGO, Calif.--At the Mountain West Conference Outdoor Championships on May 17, Coach Mike Jones saw not one, but all three of his heptathletes crack the 5000 point mark for the first time. Shanae Nixon's performance left her with 5073 points and a third place finish. Nixon was honored with all-conference honors for the top-three finish. Erianne Allen grabbed fourth place after finishing with 5018 points and Kristy Slade garnered fifth place with 5013 points. "I've been hoping for one of them to crack the 5000 point mark all season. They all have the potential to do it," said Coach Jones before the conference championships began.
