COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Utah junior Jeff Davidson and San Diego State junior Nicole Ireland have been selected as the Mountain West Conference Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively.

MEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jeff Davidson - Utah
Junior · Distance · Burley, Idaho/Burley HS

Davidson finished second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:05.5 at the Weber State Twilight Meet in Ogden, Utah on Wednesday.

WOMEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Nicole Ireland - San Diego State
Junior · Sprints/Hurdles · Las Vegas, Nev./Alabama

Ireland finished as the top collegian in the 100-meter dash and 400-meter dash (second overall in both) at the Oxy Invitational on Saturday. Her time in the 400 (58.21) was her third NCAA regional time of the season and is the seventh fastest in the MWC this season. She also ran the anchor leg on the Aztec's first place finishing 4x100 relay team which clocked in a season best 44.78. The time is the third best all-time in school history and currently ranks 23rd nationally.
