COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State senior Nate Heyrman and Air Force freshman Sara Neubauer have been named Mountain West Conference Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

Heyrman threw a personal-best 207'-4.00" to win the hammer throw at the Ram Open on May 5, in Ft. Collins, Colo. His throw is the fifth-best in Colorado State history and currently ranks him among the top 25 in the nation this season. Heyrman, a Loveland, Colo., native, also won the shot put with a throw of 55'-6.50", winning by almost three feet. He is ranked second in the hammer throw in the MWC for the season.

Neubauer won the shot put and placed second in the discus at the Ris Western-Air Force Twilight Invitational on May 4, at the USAF Academy, Colo. Hailing from Bottineau, N.D., she threw 47'-11.75" to win the shot put and recorded an Air Force freshman class record distance of 156'-10.00" to take second in the discus. Her discus throw mark is third on Air Force's all-time standings, is an NCAA Regional Qualifying Score and is the second-farthest distance in the MWC this year.
