FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Colorado State track & field team signed at Rocky Mountain High School standout Ashleigh Morton to a National Letter of Intent today. Morton will enroll at CSU in the fall of 2004.

Is currently ranked sixth in the state at the 5A level in the long jump and eighth in the high jump. Has qualified for the state meet in the high jump, long jump and pole vault and holds the school record in the vault after clearing 10-4 earlier this season. During the 2003 state championship, Morton placed 13th in the high jump. Last week at the Northern Conference Championship, she won the high jump, clearing 5-2 and was second in the pole vault at 10-0.

The signing period continues until May 1 for both men's and women's basketball and until August 1 for all the other sports except football.
