COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State senior Bryan Berryhill and BYU'senior Elizabeth Jackson were named Mountain West Conference Men's and Women's Track Athletes of the Week, respectively.

Berryhill, a native of Central Point, Ore. (Crater HS), clocked the fastest time in the nation in the 1,500 meters last week at the Cardinal Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif. Berryhill ran a 3:37.23, breaking the 21-year-old school record of 3:38.46 held by Richie Harris. He also reclaimed the best time in the NCAA. Berryhill is a three-time MWC Athlete of the Week winner this season.

Jackson, of Salt Lake City, Utah (East HS), earned Athlete of the Week honors for the second time in three weeks after posting the fastest time in the nation in the 5,000 meters at the Cardinal Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif. Also an American record holder in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, Jackson ran a 15:50.52 in the 5,000 meters, ranking her second in the NCAA.
