COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State sophomore Alex Godell and TCU sophomore Kishelle Paul have been named Mountain West Conference Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

Godell won the hammer throw competition at the Wyoming Invitational with a personal-best throw of 197'-8.00" (60.25m). His throw is the eighth-best in Colorado State school history and is an NCAA regional qualifying mark. Godell threw over 60 meters in the hammer throw for the second straight week. He also finished 11th in the discus throw with a mark of 153'-10.00" (46.89m).

Paul set a TCU school record in the 400-meter hurdles at the Penn Relays last weekend with a time of 58.18, finishing third. Paul's time topped the previous mark of 59.36 held by former Horned Frog hurdler Julie Curtis. Her time is also the best in the conference this season, an NCAA regional qualifying mark and currently ranks 12th in the nation. Paul also helped the Horned Frog 4x400 squad earn a fourth-place finish with a time of 3:35.52 and ran a leg on the 4x100 quartet that had the fourth-fastest time in the prelims (44.95).
