COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Air Force senior Tony Jones and New Mexico sophomore Monique Harris were named the inaugural McLeodUSA Mountain West Conference Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for their performances last week.

Jones, a native of Columbia, S.C., captured a pair of first-place finishes at the Lobo Multis in Albuquerque, N.M., this past weekend. In the men's long jump, Jones edged out teammate Paul Golando for first with a jump of 21' 6.75". Competing in the triple jump, he earned first with a mark of 45' 9.75. He was the Falcons' lone double winner in the competition.

A native of Cerritos, Calif., Harris also swept the long jump and the triple jump on the women's side at the Lobo Multis. In the triple jump, Harris earned first by more than a foot with a leap of 37' 2.50". She also collected first-place honors in the long jump with a mark of 17' 5.25".
