COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference announced its Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field all-conference teams today. On the men's side, BYU led the way with 16 honorees, followed by Colorado State (eight), TCU (seven), Air Force (five) and New Mexico (three). The Cougar and Horned Frog men had two relay teams apiece garner all-conference honors, while the Ram and Lobo men had one relay team earn accolades. BYU topped the women's list with nine individual selections, followed by Colorado State (eight), TCU (seven), New Mexico (five), San Diego State (four) and Wyoming (two). Air Force, UNLV and Utah rounded out the individual list with one all-MWC honoree each. BYU, Colorado State, New Mexico, San Diego State, TCU and UNLV all had one relay team earn all-conference accolades.
Below is a list of the men's and women's All-MWC selections with events participated in at the 2006 Mountain West Conference Championships in Albuquerque, N.M. BYU captured its sixth men's championship, while Colorado State won its first-ever women's title.
