COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo - The University of New Mexico will host the 2006 Mountain West Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships February 23-25 at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, N.M. This marks the first time in conference history that the event will be held at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The track is a state-of-the-art 200 meter 60-degree banked Mondo surfaced track with 6 - 36" lanes on the oval. The straight is a panel system Mondo surface with 8 - 42" lanes, which is also the surface for the high jump. The pole vault, long jump and triple jump are on raised runways with Mondo surfacing. The throwing ring is a wood surface.

For the first time in indoor track and field championship history, livestats will be available on the MWC website throughout the meet.
