FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Nicole Peters was named to the USTFCCCA All-academic track and field team Thursday. She was one of only 29 female athletes in Division 1 track and field to receive the honor.

Peters a Houston Tex. native, qualified for the honor by having a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher and having finished in the NCAA region’s top 15 in 2011.

Peters is off to an impressive senior season as she set the second-fastest time in school history in the 3,000 meters last week at the Husker Invite.
