COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Air Force junior Brian Walsh and BYU junior David Pendergrass have been named Mountain West Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field Co-Athletes of the Week, while San Diego State freshman Decontee Kaye was awarded MWC Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors. This is the first career weekly honor for all three recipients.

Walsh won the heptathlon at the Air Force Invitational last weekend. On the strength of a second place finish in the final event, he finished with an Air Force Academy record 5,318 points to bring home the crown. The Redlands, Calif., product's point total is also the second highest total in MWC history.

Pendergrass, from Spokane, Wash., set a new Mountain West all-time record in the high jump on the way to a second-place finish at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational in New York. He jumped 7'-2.75" (2.20m), which provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships and is also currently the sixth highest mark in the nation.

Kaye, a Hayward, Calif., native, set a SDSU school record in the triple jump with a leap of 42'-2.00" (12.85m), finishing second at the Mountain T's Invitational in Flagstaff, Ariz., last Saturday. Her provisional qualifying mark is also the second longest in MWC history. Kaye's jump is the top distance in the conference this season and is currently 11th best in the nation.
