Colorado Springs, Colo. - University of Utah junior Teren Jameson and University of New Mexico junior Monique Harris have been selected Mountain West Conference Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively.

Jameson finished first in the one-mile run at the Mountain State Invitational in Pocatello, Idaho Feb. 3. The time of 4:08:11 is a career best for the Taylorsville, Utah, native. His first place finish beat out 12 other runners in the invitation only race and his time puts him in the runner-up spot in the conference's overall best times. The winner in the one-mile race last year at the MWC Indoor Track Championships, Jameson earns MWC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honors for the second time in his career. During the fall season, Jameson was also a two-time Athlete of the Week winner in cross country.

At the J.D. Martin Invitational in Norman, Okla., Feb. 3, Harris leaped to a second-place finish in the triple jump. Her mark of 40'6 1/4" (12.35m) is the best in the conference and is over a foot better than the second best mark. This is also season best for the Cerritos, Calif., native who is the reigning MWC outdoor champion and indoor runner-up in the triple jump.
