COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State seniors Kevin Johnson and Katie Lloyd have been named Mountain West Conference Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

Johnson, from Aurora, Colo., broke the CSU school record in the heptathlon, scoring 5,330 points to finish fourth at the Roger Cox Multis in Albuquerque, N.M., last week. His point total is also the third-highest in MWC history, as well as an NCAA provisional qualifying mark. Johnson won the 60-meter hurdles in a personal-best time of 8.13, which ranks as the fifth fastest time in Colorado State school history and is the fastest time in the conference this season. He also set personal-best marks in the 60-meter dash (7.10) and the pole vault (14'-9.00" [4.50m]).

Lloyd, a Fruita, Colo., native, broke the Rams' women's all-time point total in the heptathlon at the Roger Cox Multis, bringing home the win with a provisional qualifying point total of 3,929 points. Her mark is also the fourth best point total in Mountain West Conference history. Lloyd ran a career-best time of 8.73 in the 60-meter hurdles, which is the fourth fastest time in school history. Lloyd also set a new career-best mark in the shot put (39'-7.75 [12.08m]), ran a personal-best in the 800-meter run (2:28.94) and long jumped 19'-2.75" (5.86m).
