COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Wyoming junior Joe Hall and senior Robin Lyons were named Mountain West Conference Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for their performances last week.

Hall, a native of Buffalo, Wyo., won the 3,000-meter and mile competitions at the Cowboy/Cowgirl Classic this past weekend in Laramie, Wyo. His time of 9:03.04 in the 3,000-meter is currently the second fastest mark in the Mtn. West this season. Hall eclipsed the field this past weekend with a time of 4:21.20 in the mile and currently has the league's fastest time in that event (4:15.89) which he ran on Jan. 8.

A native of Panoka, Alberta, Canada, Lyons won the women's 20-pound weight throw competition at this past weekend's Cowboy/Cowgirl Classic, Jan. 22. Lyons' throw of 69' 11" is a new career-best and is the best throw in the Mountain West Conference this season by almost seven feet.

Wyoming is back in action this weekend as it competes at the Western Collegiates in Colorado Springs, Colo., Jan. 28-29.
