COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State junior Drew Morano and TCU junior Virgil Hodge have been named Mountain West Conference Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

Morano, from Paola, Kan., won both the 200 and 400-meter dash events at the Conference Challenge Meet in Lincoln, Neb., last week, setting new personal best times in both races in the process. His time of 47.25 in the 400 is the second fastest time in Ram school history, as well as the third fastest clocking in conference history, His time of 21.40 in the 200 is the fourth fastest in the CSU annals. Both times also provisionally qualify Morano for the NCAA Championship.

Hodge, a native of Basseterre, St. Kitts, was victorious in the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes at the Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. In the 60-meter, she crossed the finish line in a provisional qualifying time of 7.43, which is also the top time in the MWC this season. She followed by running a time of 23.64 in the prelims and finals to secure the win. Hodge's time in the event is the fourth fastest in league history, as well as the top time in the conference this season and eighth fastest in the nation as of Jan. 22. Her clocking in the 400 is also a provisional standard.
