At the Jesse Owens Classic, senior Mike Nicks finished ninth in the steeplechase, posting a time of 9:02.56. The Jesse Owens Classic is in its 20th season and is hosted by The Ohio State University.

Colorado State will host the Mountain West Conference Championship next week. The heptathlon/decathlon will be on Wednesday and Thursday, with admission being free to those events. The main meet will begin on Friday and conclude on Saturday. Tickets are just $5 for adults and $3 for students and youth per day, or for the entire championship, tickets may be purchased for just $10 for adults and $5 for students and youth.
