Tracy Hamblin broke her career best time in the 400-meter dash with 56.46 seconds. "I've never ran 56 seconds in the 400-meter dash so I'm loving this performance," said Hamblin. Kristy Slade posted a career best 4889 points in the heptathlon. "This is the best I've ever done. My goal is to crack 5000 and I have the confidence to get there after this effort," said Slade. Mindy Wilder threw the javelin 142'05.00 feet for a career best mark. Hamblin, Slade, Nellie Hammons and Shanae Nixon ran the team's fastest time of the year in the 4x400-meter relay with 3:55.34 minutes. Erik Vernon finished second in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase with 9:29.49.
