DES MOINES, Iowa - At the prestigious Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, the Colorado State women's 4x200 relay team broke the school record running a 1:38.91.

The quartet of senior Katrice Thomas, sophomore Megan Fox, sophomore Janay DeLoach and junior Becky Hammitt finished ninth in 1:38.91, breaking the old record of 1:46.32, held by Lapp, Witham, Chopon and Skoronsky from 1977.

Junior Amanda Huddleston finished sixth with her leap of 41-1 in the triple jump and senior Jacob Benson cleared 6-6.75 in the high jump to place 13th. The only individual track event of the day for the Rams saw junior Mike Horton place 15th in the 100 meters with a time of 11.15. Horton also false started in the 110 hurdles.

The Rams will conclude competition at the Drake Relays tomorrow and will also compete in the Modrall Sperling Lobo Open, hosted by the University of New Mexico.
