WALNUT, Calif.-At the Mt. SAC Relays on April 21, Chantel Goldsberry and Johanna Nielsen earned provisional qualifying spots for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Goldsberry posted a mark of 188'05" feet in the hammer throw. The mark is ten feet longer than Goldsberry's previous best mark for the 2001 season of 179'09. Nielsen ran the 10,000-meter in 35.02.00 minutes to provisionally qualify.

(B.J.) Brad Christenson was the first finisher in his heat of the steeple-chase. Christenson posted 8:57, which is three seconds shy of the provisional qualifying time (8:54). Erik Vernon posted the time 9:18.41 in the steeple chase. This is the first time Vernon has finished in under ten-minutes.
