COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Boise State junior Rachel Heaney and Fresno State junior Hannah Prigge have earned Mountain West Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors, respectively, for meets contested from Nov. 19-Dec. 2, 2012. It is the first Mountain West honor for Heaney and the second MW honor for Prigge. Heaney, a product of North Bend, Ore., recorded four Top-15 finishes at the Missouri Invitational last week in Columbia, Mo., leading the Broncos to a second-place finish in the nine-team meet with 778 points. Heaney won the 200-yard butterfly with an NCAA `B' cut time of 1:58.50 to cap off the meet. The mark is a BSU record. Earlier in the meet, she placed third in the 400-yard individual medley with a personal-best of 4:19.92, seventh in the 500-yard freestyle (4:55.91) and 16th in the 100-yard butterfly (57.63). Prigge, who hails from Rocklin, Calif., won both springboard events in the Bulldogs' tight loss to San Diego State, 133-128, on Dec. 1. Prigge scored an NCAA qualifying mark of 284.40 to win the 1-meter springboard and a 315.30 on the 3-meter board, also an NCAA qualifying mark. Both scores rank as the third-highest recorded at the Aztec Aquaplex.
