COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Wyoming junior Damian Storz and BYU junior Justin Wilcock have been named Mountain West Conference men's swimmer and diver of the week, respectively.

Storz, a Woodlands, Calif., native earned his second swimmer of the week award of the season with impressive individual and relay performances at the Mountain West Conference Invitational Nov. 29-Dec. 1 and the Rebel Relays on Dec. 2. He not only placed in the top-four in each of his individual performances last week, but helped the Cowboys to three top-two finishes in relay events. At the MWC Invitational, Storz finished first in the 1650-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 16:32.02, and second in the 500-yard freestyle and 400-yard individual medley with season-best times of 4:36.52 and 4:04.52, respectively. Storz also turned in a third-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly (1:55.62), a fourth place finish in 200-yard individual medley (a season-high, 1:56.55) and helped the 800-yard freestyle team to a second place finish with a time of 6:57.96. At the Rebel Relays, he was a member of both the 600-yard freestyle relay team, bringing home a victory in 5:06.51, and the 200-yard freestyle relay team that finished second in 2:09.11.

Wilcock, a two-time diver of the week award recipient, was victorious in both the 1-meter springboard and 3-meter springboard at the BYU Diving Invitational last week in Provo. In the 1-meter, he scored 338.55 points for the victory, while tallying 373.5 points in the 3-meter, bettering the second place finisher by 35 points.

The Cowboys return to action on Friday, Dec. 7 in Colorado Springs at the Colorado College Classic, while the BYU diving team will compete at the Arizona Diving Invitational on Jan. 11 in Tucson, Ariz.

This week in the MWC: No other MWC teams compete this week.
