COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - TCU's Jennifer Ferguson tied the Mountain West Conference record with her fourth consecutive diver of the week honor, while R.J. Hesselberg was voted as the men's diver of the week to complete the Horned Frog's sweep of this week's MWC diving honors. BYU swept the swimming side, as Natasha Menezes and Brett Allen earned their first awards this season.

Just a freshman at TCU, Ferguson joins BYU's Rachelle Kunkel (1999-2000) and New Mexico's Becca Barras (2004-05) as the only women's divers to win four straight weekly plaudits. Both Kunkel and Barras were seniors when they received four consecutive nods.

Ferguson swept the diving events last Saturday to help lead the Horned Frogs past Centenary and San Diego State. The Beaconfield, Quebec, native posted the second-best scores in TCU history with a 298.27 in the one-meter dive and a 331.13 in the three-meter event. Her three-meter score is currently tops in the league, while her one-meter score ranks third this season. Ferguson moved to 12-0 in her collegiate career with the wins.

Hesselberg, a sophomore from Saskatoon, Canada, set personal bests in the one- and three-meter dives against Centenary. He recorded a 312.66 in the one-meter event, shattering his previous high of 278.40. His 324.75 in the three-meter dive helped bring his season-win total to four.

Menezes led the Cougars to a first-place finish out of 21 teams at the Speedo Cup last weekend, setting three MWC season-best times with personal best swims. The freshman from Denver, Colo., won the 500 freestyle (4:55.30) and the 1650 freestyle (17:10.44), while finishing third in the 200 freestyle (1:51.49). She also swam on the first-place 400 (3:29.24) and 800 (7:32.36) freestyle relays, helping BYU win its second Speedo Cup crown in school history.

Allen, a senior from Katy, Texas, set a current national and MWC best time in the 50 freestyle with a 19.82 in the prelims to lead the No. 24 Cougars to a second-place finish out of 15 teams at the Speedo Cup. He posted a 20.03 in the finals to finish second in the event before finishing third in the 100 freestyle (44.53). He also swam on the victorious 400-freestyle relay (2:59.98), finished second in both the 200-freestyle relay (1:21.52) and 400-medley relay (3:20.31 and helped the 200-medley relay place third (1:30.84). He helped set MWC season-best times in all six events.
