New Mexico's Michie and Wyoming's Alderman Named MWC Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week

Michie establishes new conference best in 200 IM. (Nov. 17)

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – New Mexico’s Quinn Michie and Wyoming’s Dominy Alderman were named the Mountain West Conference’s Women’s Swimmer and Diver of the week, respectively.

Competing at the Lobo Invitational, Nov. 12-13, Michie, a sophomore from El Paso, Texas, finished first in the 200 IM and established a new conference-best with a time of 2:09.34. Quinn also added a third-place finish in the 200 Free, a fourth-place finish in the 100 Free and seventh-place finishes in the 100 Back and 50 Free. She also competed in the 200, 400 and 800 Medley Relays. Michie finished fifth overall with 75 individual points in the invitational which featured San Diego State, Colorado State, Air Force and New Mexico State.

Alderman, a senior from Anchorage, Alaska, established a new pool record and finished first with a score of 195.80 in the 1-Meter Diving competition in the Cowgirls’ 154-84 dual meet victory at the University of Denver last weekend. Alderman finished fourth in the 3-Meter competition with a score of 203.65.
