COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - UNLV sophomore Katie Wronn and Utah sophomore Kelsey Patterson have been named Mountain West Conference Women's Swimmer and Diver of the week, respectively. This is the first season honor for Wronn and the second for Patterson.

A native of Citrus Heights, Calif., Wronn won the 50-yard freestyle (24.43) and swam on two first-place relay teams (200-yard medley, 145.49 and 200-yard free, 136.41) to lead the Rebels to a win over defending MWC champion BYU last week. She also placed second in the 50 free (24.81) vs. Nevada, Reno, and paced the 400-yard free relay team to a first-place finish (3:36.29).

Patterson, of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events vs. Denver last week to remain perfect this season through four meets. She scored a 230.55 in the 1-meter and 265.95 in the 3-meter event.
