PROVO, Utah - The football team isn't the only team from BYU traveling to Notre Dame this weekend. The No. 18 men's swimming and diving team will also make the trip to South Bend, Ind. to take on the Fighting Irish and the University of Iowa Hawkeyes on Friday Nov. 14 at 2 p.m.

The Cougars come into the meet 2-0 after defeating UNLV last week, while the Irish are 0-3 after losing to Michigan State and the Hawkeyes are 2-1 after defeating Purdue.

Coach Tim Powers is impressed with both teams and expects a good meet.

"They're both excellent teams," Powers said. "They should provide excellent competition."

The meet will consist of 16 events and will have two short relays replacing the longer relays. The meets will go on simultaneously and the teams will swim two heats.

"I look for all of my swimmers to do well if we're going to continue our winning ways," Powers said.
