Wyoming's Fulfer And Delgado Earn MWC Men's Swimmer And Diver of the Week Accolades Delgado garners honor for the second time this season.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Wyoming seniors Guy Fulfer and Oscar Delgado have been named Mountain West Conference men's swimmer and diver of the week, respectively. Fulfer finished first in three individual events and helped the Cowboys to three first place finishes in relay events in two Wyoming victories last weekend in Laramie. Against South Dakota on Nov. 2, Fulfer posted a time of 20.00 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle and was a member of the winning 200-yard medley relay team (1:36.32) and 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:27.40). Against Air Force on Nov. 3, Fulfer earned individual victories in the 100-yard freestyle (46.81) and the 200-yard freestyle (1:44.57), while helping the 400-yard freestyle relay team to victory in 3:10.01. This is Fulfer's first ever swimmer of the week award. Delgado continues to make the most of his senior campaign by sweeping the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in both meets last weekend. Against South Dakota, he compiled a score of 314.93 on the 1-meter springboard and 302.90 on the 3-meter springboard. The Covina, Calif. native, finished his weekend by scoring 305.025 in the 1-meter event and 301.95 in the 3-meter event against Air Force. This is Delgado's second consecutive diver of the week award and eighth of his career. The Cowboys' next meet is on Saturday, Nov. 10 in Denver, Colo. at the University of Denver Pentathlon. Start time is 2 p.m.
This week in the MWC: BYU welcomes UNLV to Provo for a dual meet on Friday, Nov. 9. New Mexico takes on Colorado State in a dual meet in Albuquerque on Thursday, Nov. 8 and then hosts the Lobo Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 9 and 10. Utah takes on UNLV in a dual meet at the Ute Natatorium on Nov. 9.
