MWC Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week Utah's Michelle Blair and Kelsey Patterson awarded
Nov. 4, 2004 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Utah freshman Michelle Blair and sophomore Kelsey Patterson have been named Mountain West Conference Women's Swimmer and Diver of the week, respectively. This is the first career weekly honor for both recipients. Blair, from Orlando, Fla., helped the Utes to a dual meet win over UC San Diego last week, winning two individual events and helping Utah to a relay win. She finished first in the 100 and 200-yard butterfly with times of 57.47 and 2:06.12, respectively. Blair was also a part of the 200-yard medley relay team that finished with a winning time of 1:48.15. Patterson swept both diving events against UC San Diego and conference foe San Diego State. Against UCSD, she tallied a score of 252.98 in the 1-meter and a score of 268.13 in the 3-meter. The following day against the Aztecs, she scored 241.80 in the 1-meter dive and 259.95 in the 3-meter dive, completing her weekend sweep.
