COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - TCU swept the Mountain West Conference Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors as Erica Tate and Jennifer Ferguson were named, while Air Force senior Chris Knaute was named MWC Men's Swimmer of the Week and Utah senior Andrew Jones got diver of the week honors.

TCU defeated both North Texas (79-61) and Incarnate Word (126-11) last Wednesday, led by Tate's winning time in the 50-freestyle (24.27) against North Texas. Two events later, the senior was substituted into the 100-freestyle and broke a tie score with her 53.34 winning time. The Grapevine, Texas, native also helped the 400-freestyle relay team win the last event of the night with a 3:34.04 clocking, completing the fastest split in 52.58.

Ferguson, from Beaconfield, Quebec, won both the one-meter and three-meter dives against North Texas. In her first collegiate meet, the freshman scored 269.40 in six dives off the one-meter, defeating her closest opponent by more than 50 points. In the three-meter event, also a six-dive contest, Ferguson posted the third-best score in TCU history with a 302.80, this time out-scoring her closest competitor by 90 points. That score is also currently the best total in the MWC this season.

Knaute opened the Falcon's season by winning the 100, 500 and 1,000-yard freestyle events to lead Air Force to a quad-dual sweep of Colorado college, Colorado School of Mines, Metro State and host Denver Friday. The Houston, Texas, native won the 1,000 freestyle by more than 37 seconds with a 9:26.93 clocking. He then went on to win the 100 freestyle in 46.03 and the 500 freestyle in 4:37.81.

Jones, from Salt Lake City, Utah, won both diving events against UC San Diego Saturday, scoring 269.10 in the one-meter dive and 265.75 in the three-meter event.
