Utah Swimming & Diving Hosts Arizona State TONIGHT at 6 p.m. Swimming & diving program opens home season at Ute Natatroium against Sun Devils.

SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah men's and women's swimming and diving team hosts Pacific-10 power Arizona State comes to the Ute Natatorium TONIGHT at 6 p.m. Both of the Utah teams finished behind Denver last Saturday, with the men's team falling, 163-137, and the women's team dropping a 162-134 decision. The Ute women defeated the North Texas Mean Green, 174-126. The Utah men finished first in six events overall. John Baque (Olympia, Wash.) led the team, finishing first in both the 100 (57.71) and 200 breast (2:09.03). On the women's side, Maiya Otsuka (Littleton, Colo.) finished first in the 100 breast (1:07.84) and in the 200 breast (2:25.57). At the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in 2009, ASU finished 18th on the men's side and 17th on the women's. The Sun Devils return NCAA Honorable Mention All-American in Jess Perazzo, who was honored for her part in the 200 and 400 free relay.
