COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State senior Corinne Hofstetter and Wyoming freshman Saara Haapaned have been named Mountain West Conference Women's Swimmer and Diver of the week, respectively. This is the first career weekly honor for both recipients.

She started the meet with an individual win in the 500 freestyle (5:07.16), finished second in the 200 freestyle (1:56.82), .14 seconds behind teammate Kristen Schneider, and helped the 400 medley relay squad to a second-place finish (4:02.95). On the final day of the invitational, Hofstetter set a meet record in the 200 butterfly (2:07.70), won the 1650 freestyle (17:39.97) and helped the 800 freestyle relay team to a win (7:51.09).

Haapaned, a Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, product, won the 1-meter diving event and finished second in the 3-meter diving event at the Early Bird Invitational. She topped the field in the 1-meter with a score of 248.20, 30 points above her nearest competitor, and followed that with a score of 397.20 in the 3-meter.
