COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -
Air Force junior Chris Knaute and TCU senior Kelly McCain have been named the Mountain West Conference Men's Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively. Knaute garnered his third career swimmer of the week accolades, while McCain is a first-time honoree.
Knaute set three meet records in winning the 200-yard individual medley, 400-yard individual medley and 1,650-yard freestyle to help Air Force place third at the Early Bird Invitational in Fort Collins last Saturday. He closed the invitational with a 1:53.95 in the 200 IM, 4:03.54 in the 400 IM and 16:11.22 in the 1,650 free. In addition, the Houston native was part of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay squad that finished in a time of 3:09.44.

A Corpus Christi, Texas, native, McCain placed second on the 1-meter and third on the 3-meter boards at the Early Bird Invitational in Fort Collins. He scored a 294.70 on the 1-meter board and a 506.55 on the 3-meter.
