COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Utah sophomore Adam Oliver and Wyoming senior Kevin Bretting earned the first Mountain West Conference Men's Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors, while Wyoming swept the women's side with sophomore Aimee Stinson earning swimming plaudits and junior Brittany Wainwright receiving diving honors.

Oliver, a Colorado Springs, Colo., native, was on the winning 3x100 backstroke and 3x500 freestyle relays at the Beehive Relays last Friday. Two days later in a duel meet at Denver, he went on to win the 1,000 and 500 freestyle events for the Utes with times of 9:47.88 and 4:46.46, respectively.

For the Cowboys, Bretting, a Loveland, Colo., native, won the three-meter dive, while placing third in the one-meter event. He collected a score of 322.00 in the three-meter and 268.65 in the one-meter dive, receiving NCAA Zone qualifying marks in both the prelims and finals in the three-meter dive. Bretting's 323.30 three-meter score in the prelims was a personal best, ranking third in the Wyoming record books.

Stinson collected wins in both the 500 freestyle (5:07.10) and the 1650 freestyle (17:48.13), winning the 500 by more than a second and the 1650 by an 11-second margin. Her 1:55.24 clocking in the 200 freestyle earned the Colorado Springs, Colo., native second place in that event. She then anchored the 400 medley relay to a winning time of 3:58.08 and swam on the second-place 400 freestyle relay (3:36.06). She also helped the 800 freestyle relay to a third-place finish with a time of 7:54.32, while her 200 freestyle relay team finished third with a 1:55.24 showing.

Finally, Wainwright led the Cowgirl divers at the Early Bird Invite last Friday, winning the three-meter dive with a score of 278.80 - 23 points better than her closest competitor. The Evanston (Wyo.) High School alum then finished second in the one-meter event Saturday, posting a 249.20 mark.
