BYU Men and Utah Women Picked to Win MWC Swimming and Diving Titles BYU received 23 points and three first-place votes, while Utah had 52 points and five first-place votes.

Sept. 28, 2006 BYU was picked to win the 2006-07 Mountain West Conference regular season title in men's swimming and diving, while Utah was selected to win the women's crown in the preseason poll as voted on by the league's head coaches. BYU had three first-place votes and 23 points to lead the men. UNLV ranked second, just two points behind the Cougars, with 21 points and two first-place votes, while Air Force got one first-place vote and 17 points to rank third. Utah (14 points), Wyoming (nine points) and TCU (six points) round out the men's poll. The Utah women garnered 52 points and five first-place votes, just two points ahead of BYU, which had 50 points and three first-place votes. UNLV ranked third with 43 points and one first-place vote, followed by TCU with 32 points, Colorado State with 31 points and Wyoming with 23 points. New Mexico (12 points) ranked seventh with San Diego State (10 points) and Air Force (two points) finishing the women's poll.
