Mountain West Conference Releases 2007-08 Swimming and Diving Coaches' Poll UNLV picked to win MWC men's swimming and diving title; BYU tabbed on women's side

UNLV is favored to win the 2007-08 Mountain West Conference regular-season title in men's swimming and diving, while BYU has been selected to capture the women's crown as voted on by the league's head coaches. UNLV collected five first-place votes and a total of 25 points to capture the top spot in the men's poll. BYU received the remaining first-pace nod and totaled 21 points for second place, while Wyoming claimed third place with 16 points and Air Force landed in fourth with 12 points. Utah notched 10 points and was chosen fifth, while TCU was picked sixth with six points. On the women's side, BYU received eight first-place votes and gathered 72 points to capture first-place acclaim, while UNLV collected the other first-place vote and was predicted to finish second with 63 points. Utah claimed the third spot with 55 points, while Wyoming was picked fourth with 46 points, Colorado State settled in at fifth with 39 points and TCU was chosen sixth with 32 points. New Mexico (23 points), San Diego State (18 points) and Air Force (12 points) rounded out the poll finishing seventh, eighth and ninth, respectively.
