SALT LAKE CITY - Web site collegeswimming.com has named four University of Utah swimmers and divers to its Academic All-America team.

Leading the way for the Utes was Marissa Martin who checked in with a 3.90 grade-point average. Jennifer Fredsall (3.70 GPA), Anna Braszkiewiez (3.66) and Alison McInturff (3.58) were also named to the team.

A total of 604 athletes from across the country were honored.

To earn Academic All-American status, student athletes must earn a minimum of a 3.5 GPA and qualify for the NCAA, NAIA or NJCAA championships. Student-athletes with a 3.5 GPA who earn NCAA 'B' times are eligible for Academic All-American Honorable Mention status.
